Stephen Fuller, CPA Partner

Stephen Fuller is a Partner in the Tax Services practice at Grassi. He specializes in helping businesses reach their financial goals through strategic tax planning and consulting services. Stephen has advised family-owned businesses, public companies, private equity firms and individuals on strategies to mitigate their tax obligation, identify available tax credits and incentives, and comply with federal, state and local tax laws and filing requirements.

Stephen brings value to every client relationship with his knowledge of changing tax law, a deep understanding of their business, and continuous communication throughout the year. He proactively recommends new tax-savings vehicles and identifies opportunities to improve every facet of his clients’ tax situation.

Prior to joining Grassi, Stephen was a Partner at a national public accounting firm and Tax Leader of the West Hartford, CT office. He worked primarily with clients in the Manufacturing, Distribution, and Retail industries.

Stephen began his career in the tax department of a Big 4 accounting firm before moving into a leadership position in the specialty risk division of AXA. As Vice President of Federal Tax Compliance & Reporting, he reviewed and prepared federal income tax returns, tax notice responses, quarterly and annual income tax provisions, financial statement disclosures and other documentation for tax authorities.

Stephen’s extensive experience also includes SOX compliance, foreign tax compliance, research projects and tax provision audits. He is an active member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CSCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Stephen is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Connecticut. He holds a Master’s in Accounting and Taxation degree from the University of Hartford and a Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Connecticut State University.
