Stefania R. Geraci, ESQ General Counsel
Stefania R. Geraci is General Counsel for Grassi, where she oversees the firm’s in-house legal department. Her areas of focus include risk management, regulatory compliance and proactive and preventive counsel in support of the firm’s strategic business objectives. Stefania has experience in a broad range of corporate law matters, including complex commercial transactions, M&A, intellectual property, litigation management, risk management, real estate, labor and employment and government affairs.
Prior to joining Grassi, Stefania was Vice President and General Counsel North America for Luxottica, a world leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of fashion, luxury, sports and performance eyewear. In this role, she supported the North American anti-trust review of a $58.49 billion merger. She also provided legal oversight for all North American litigation, including regulatory, antitrust and wage & hour class actions and bankruptcy concerns, as well as the advertising compliance program for and protection of key brands like Ray-Ban and Oakley. In addition, she was responsible for the real estate review of Luxottica’s 4,000+ locations in North America, as well as commercial transactions with major host partners and brand distributors, both in the brick-and-mortar and tech spaces.
Earlier in her career, Stefania was an Associate in the Manhattan office of the law firm Hogan Lovells, where she worked on a variety of intellectual property, M&A, real estate and finance matters.
Throughout her career, Stefania has been active in giving back to the community. She has served as an officer of OneSight, a nonprofit that brings eye exams, glasses and permanent vision centers to needy communities around the world, and on the Board of the parent teacher group at her children’s school. She has also volunteered with The Innocence Project, an organization that works to exonerate the wrongly convicted through DNA testing.
Stefania is a graduate of The Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law and received her B.A. in Political Science from Barnard College, Columbia University. She is admitted to practice law in New York State.
