Robert R. Carpenter, CPA is a Partner in the Tax Services practice at Grassi where he guides clients through the complexities of tax planning and compliance. Bob has extensive experience advising individual and corporate clients on tax mitigation strategies, state and local tax issues, tax credits and incentives, as well as representing them in tax controversy matters. He helps business owners navigate the unique tax landscapes in a variety of industries, including healthcare, professional services, real estate, manufacturing and distribution. He also specializes in providing tax and trust and estate support for high-net-worth individuals.
Prior to the firm merging with Grassi, Bob was a Managing Director at Gramkow, Carnevale, Seifert, & Co., LLC (GCS) for over 30 years. He began his career at a Big 4 accounting firm before joining GCS in 1987.
Licensed in the state of New Jersey, Bob has over 40 years of experience in public accounting and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the New Jersey Society of Certified Public Accountants (NJCPA).
Bob graduated from Manhattan College with a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting.
