Howard Fielstein, CPA/ABV/CFF, CFE, CIRA, CTP, ASA, CDBV, is a Partner in Grassi’s Forensic, Litigation and Valuation Services Practice. His expertise includes investigative/forensic accounting, business and intangible asset valuations, breach of contract/damage claims, partner/shareholder disputes, intellectual property suits, matrimonial actions, and business bankruptcies, restructurings and “claw-back” claims.
Howard has an extensive financial background and has qualified many times as an expert witness and provided testimony in Federal and State Courts. He has been court-appointed as a Neutral Appraiser, as an Examiner of businesses in connection with various types of matters and was appointed as a Chapter 11 Trustee in a bankruptcy matter. Throughout his career, he has lectured and published articles on various valuation, forensic, and litigation consulting topics.
Howard received his Bachelor of Science in Accounting at Brooklyn College and is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), the New York State Society of Certified Public Accountants (NYSSCPA), the American Bankruptcy Institute (ABI), the American Society of Appraisers (ASA), the Association of Certified Fraud Examiners (ACFE), the Association of Insolvency and Restructuring Advisors (AIRA), among others.
